Study at the Museum of Memory and Human Rights

Between August and December 2025, we carried out a qualitative research project for the Museum of Memory and Human Rights with the aim of analyzing the social representations, evaluations, and expectations that national and international audiences construct around the Museum, its main exhibition, temporary exhibits, and educational and outreach activities.

The study is framed within the need to understand the evolution of the Museum’s relationship with its audiences fifteen years after its inauguration, in a context of transformation of the museological paradigm toward institutions centered on dialogue and the co-construction of meaning.

Puerto Aysén Project

In August 2025, we conducted the workshop “People with Disabilities, Self-Determination, Assistance, and Care” in Puerto Aysén, an initiative of the Honorable Municipality of Aysén and the Ministry of Social Development and Family, aimed at 32 members of the commune’s sociosanitary network.

The activity, led by lecturer Mg. Daniela Alburquerque González, sought to promote a space for reflection on disability, dependency, self-determination, and care from an intersectional and intersectoral perspective, enabling participants to critically examine the application of normative, conceptual, and practical frameworks within their territory and in their professional and personal experience.

Río Ibáñez Project

In August 2025, we presented the technical proposal for the workshop “Let’s Talk About a Good Death for a Good Life”, an initiative of the Honorable Municipality of Río Ibáñez aimed at the Local Network of Support and Care in the commune.

Through work with caregivers and grassroots organizations, the commune of Río Ibáñez has developed a critical reflection on the act of caregiving and its complexities, especially in contexts of dependency and long-term care.

The activity, led by lecturer and academic Daniela Alburquerque González, aimed to encourage dialogue and critical discussion on end-of-life processes from a perspective of self-determination and advance directives, taking into account the local and cultural realities of the territory.
