Chilca Formación y Capacitaciones celebrates its first year of work
In February, Chilca Training and Education celebrated its first anniversary, reaffirming its commitment to knowledge as a tool for social transformation. Since its beginnings, the organization has promoted training spaces focused on dialogue, critical reflection, and collective knowledge building, working alongside communities and professional teams to translate rights into everyday practices.
During this first year, Chilca carried out several relevant initiatives, including an audience study for the Museum of Memory and Human Rights that gathered the voices of more than 100 people, as well as workshops on self-determination, caregiving, and disability in Puerto Aysén. It also presented the proposal “Let’s talk about a good death for a good life”, aimed at fostering community dialogue on advance directives and end-of-life processes.
Looking ahead, the organization is preparing for 2026 an annual national program of talks for workers in companies linked to Caja Los Andes, addressing topics such as financial and pension education, life skills, social security, and labor rights.
